“China Fuels Its Global Energy Supply”
Aaron Back & Russell Gold
A unit of China National Petroleum Corp. agreed to bu7 a big slice of a shale-gas play in Canada from Royal Butch Shell PLC, bolstering Beijing’s footprint in North America’s energy patch, as two other Chinese companies sealed energy deals in the US and Europe.
After tiptoeing into North America in recent years, Chinese companies have ratcheted up their energy deal-making as unconventional extraction methods – from oil sands to shale gas – have transformed the continent’s energy market.
EIG Global Energy Partners said sovereign wealth fund China Investment has acquired a minority stake in the energy-asset manager which is based in Washington DC.
Last year, Chinese companies started buying entire – albeit small- companies. Canada to lure investment has so far welcomed interest. Next week, Prime Minister Stephen Harper travels to China, where he has promised to promote Canada’s energy potential.
Common Sense Review
Call me crazy but I see two issues here:
Since Pres .Obama has taken office he has planned these programs that are funded by foreign loans. So we currently own China trillions of dollars. Which means we are at their “beck and call.”
1) This move is a chess move by China. They first get a super power (US) to be obligated to the best interest of China and second, China controlling a portion of the North American petrol industry sets China up to control the US.
2) Pres. Obama prior lack of interest in Iran’s Nuclear program and now the concern for the program which throws up the Sanctions flag. Iran will stop sending petrol to the US, which incurs higher prices at the pump. Pres. Obama passes on the Keystone Pipeline XL, so now the Chinese will take advantage of the opportunity. This mean the Chinese will have a seat at the table controlling the price of petrol… Raising the price on gas means Americans are forced onto public transportation that have been receiving Federal grants to advance their services as well as promoting the UN’s Agenda 21.
As I sit here typing this I realize, Glenn Beck has nothing on me….
